Who Is In The Dietprof ''Team''?

Our team includes Expert Dietitian-Technical Personnel-Software-Editor staff and provides services to our valuable clients, who are our users, in coordination with each other. Our dietitian team will help you with your nutritional problems and our technical staff will help you with technical issues.

Which diet types do you offer?

Balanced/classic, intermittent fasting, ketogenic, breastfeeding/pregnancy, Mediterranean, vegetarian/vegan, weight gain and muscle, detox/de-bloating, gluten-free.

Depending on your goal and health status, one of these types or a combination of several is prepared specifically for you. You can state your preference at the start or send it later from the Dietitian Support page; our team adjusts your list to the type you choose. See the How Does Diet Prof Work? page for details.

I am breastfeeding or pregnant. Is my list prepared accordingly?

Yes. Calories are not cut in this period; a programme suited to the needs of mother and baby is prepared.

Report your breastfeeding or pregnancy from the Dietitian Support page; your list is arranged to be rich in protein, iron, calcium and vitamins, with the number of meals kept. We ask you to get your doctor's approval before starting the programme.

Can I drink coffee and tea?

Yes. Tea and coffee are already part of your diet list; just have them without sugar or cream.

The snacks on your list include tea and coffee. Drink them without milk, sugar or cream, and remember an extra glass of water for every cup. Prefer plain sparkling water instead of sugary soft drinks. If you drink more than 3 cups of coffee a day, or would like a different arrangement on your list, write from Dietitian Support so that your list can be adjusted.

I do not eat seafood or dairy, or I am vegetarian. Will my list reflect this?

Yes. Report the food groups you do not eat and your list is prepared without them.

If you simply dislike one meal, the change icon on the Diet Plan page is enough. If you do not eat a whole food group (seafood, dairy, red meat, legumes) or you are vegetarian/vegan, let us know from the Dietitian Support page; your programme is rearranged around this preference and it is kept in your next lists too.

What should I do if I cannot find an ingredient on my list?

Use Change Meal with a single click; another meal with the same nutritional value appears instantly.

The meals on your diet list are chosen according to the cuisine of the country you live in and the current season; the ingredients are products that are easy to find in shops. If you do not have an ingredient at hand that day, or you could not go shopping, simply click the change icon next to the meal on the Diet Plan page: another meal from the same category and calorie balance appears and your diet is not disrupted. If there are ingredients you never eat, let us know from the Dietitian Support page and your list is arranged around your preferences.

Can I change my calorie target myself?

Your calorie target is calculated from your details and recalculated whenever you update them.

Update your height, weight, goal weight and physical activity level on the Form Information page; your programme is rebuilt from your new values. If you exercise, marking your activity level correctly directly affects the calorie and protein amounts. If you want a specific calorie target (for example one recommended by your doctor), write from Dietitian Support and our team adjusts your programme to it.

I ate out and could not follow one meal. What should I do?

Do not worry; simply continue your list from the next meal.

One meal does not undo your programme. Do not skip or reduce the next meal to compensate, as this triggers hunger and overeating the next day. If eating out is frequent (business lunches, travel), write from Dietitian Support so that your list includes options you can follow outside. If your meal times do not fit your routine, you can change them in Diet Settings.

How does the Meal Reminder work? Does it remind me every day?

You define your meal times and a notification reaches your phone at every meal.

On the Meal Reminder page of your profile, click "Define My Meals"; your meals are transferred to your Google Calendar. To change the times, first save the new times in Diet Settings, then define the reminder again. If you receive no notifications, check that Google Calendar notifications are enabled on your phone.

Is there a separate app? How do I install it on my phone?

Diet Prof runs in the browser; add a shortcut to your home screen and use it like an app.

There is no separate app to download from a store; your profile opens the same way on phone, tablet and computer. On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap the Share icon and then "Add to Home Screen". On Android, choose "Add to Home screen" from the Chrome menu. The Diet Prof icon then stays on your home screen and opens with one tap.

Can I see the ingredients, quantities and preparation of the meals on my diet list?

Yes. Every meal on your list comes with its photo, ingredients, quantities, step-by-step preparation and calorie value, ready in your profile.

The Diet Plan page in your profile shows your programme day by day and meal by meal: breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner are lined up with their own times. In each meal, the dishes you will eat that day are listed with their photos. When you click on a dish, its meal card opens, and the card contains:

  • Ingredients and quantities: how many grams, how many pieces, how many tablespoons, how many glasses. No need for guesswork.
  • Preparation: step by step; which ingredient goes in when, and how long it cooks.
  • Calorie value: the total calories of the portion. The meals add up to your daily target.
  • Photo: the finished dish, so you can see in advance what your plate will look like.

So the question "how is this cooked and how much do I use?" never comes up. You can also reach the same recipes from the ingredients on the Shopping List page; while looking at an ingredient in the shop, you instantly see which meal it is for and how much you need. Because all meals are chosen from the cuisine of the country you live in and according to the season, the recipes are familiar and the ingredients are products found in your shops.

What is the Form Information page for?

It is the page that holds all the personal data your diet programme is calculated from; when you update it, your programme is recalculated from your new values.

The Form Information page keeps the details you gave in the analysis test: height, weight, goal weight, your daily routine (desk-bound, on your feet, on the move), your physical activity and how often, your eating habits, your meal pattern and any chronic conditions. Your programme is generated from this data, so as long as the data is current, the programme stays right for you.

How to use it: as you lose weight, you enter your current weight on this page. The moment you save, your daily calorie need, the calorie balance across your meals, your ideal weight calculation and your timeline are recalculated, and your next diet programme is prepared from the new values. You do not keep using at 72 kilos the list you received at 80; the programme shrinks with you.

When your profile enters a new week, it shows you a reminder to update your weight. This weekly entry also feeds your Change Graphs: every entry becomes a new point on the graph. If your exercise routine has changed (you have started or stopped), update your activity level here too; your calorie and protein balance is adjusted accordingly. Account details such as name, e-mail, phone, country and password are kept on a separate page, My Information.

What do I see on the Analysis Results page?

All the values calculated about your body on one screen, always up to date.

The Analysis Results page is the permanent version, inside your profile, of the results screen you saw at the end of the test. It contains:

  • Body Mass Index (BMI): the value calculated from your height and weight, and the range you are in (normal, overweight, etc.).
  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): the daily energy your body uses at rest, doing nothing. It is the basis of your calorie target.
  • Your daily calorie need: the calorie value your programme is built on, found by adding your daily movement and activity level to your BMR.
  • Your daily water need: in litres, according to your weight.
  • Your ideal weight and goal weight: the healthy weight for your height next to the goal you set yourself.

These values are not fixed. When you update your weight or activity level on the Form Information page, the Analysis Results are refreshed at the same moment, so the answers to "where am I now, how much should I eat a day, how much water should I drink?" are always at hand. To see the change over time you use the Change Graphs page, and to see the time left to your goal, the Timeline page.

What do the Change Graphs show?

They show how your weight, your Body Mass Index and your Basal Metabolic Rate have changed over time, on line graphs.

The Change Graphs page holds several graphs: a weight change graph, a BMI change graph, a BMR change graph and a height graph. Each shows the date on the horizontal axis and the value on the vertical axis. Every time you enter your weight on the Form Information page, a new point is added; as the weeks go by the points join up and you see the decline as a line.

The page has two purposes. The first is motivation: daily fluctuations on the scales can be misleading, but the line formed by the weekly points shows the real direction. That is why it is one of the pages our users look at most. The second is tracking: when the line flattens or you are not progressing at the pace you expected, you notice it early and can ask for your programme to be reviewed by writing from Dietitian Support. All you need to do for the graphs to build up is the weekly weight update your profile reminds you about.

What is the Timeline?

It is your personal calendar showing, in days and months, how long it will take you to reach your goal.

On the Timeline page you see two separate calculations:

  • Goal Weight – Your Timeline: in how many days or months you will reach the goal weight you set yourself.
  • Ideal Weight – Your Timeline: in how many days or months you will reach the ideal weight calculated for your height.

The calculation assumes that you follow your programme and is based on a healthy rate of weight loss; we do not use approaches that promise fast, large losses, because weight lost that way comes back. The timeline is not fixed: as you update your weight on the Form Information page, the remaining time is recalculated. Seeing the time shrink as you approach your goal is the most concrete reward for keeping going. You saw the same information at the end of the test, before registering; the timeline in your profile is the continuously updated version of that calculation.

How does the Shopping List work?

It automatically works out all the ingredients you need to buy for the meals on your diet list, with quantities, so you go to the shop with a ready list in hand.

When you open the Shopping List page you choose one of two views:

  • Daily: the ingredients for all the meals of the day you select. For people who shop every day.
  • Weekly: all the ingredients of a whole week collected in one list, with identical ingredients merged. For people who do the week's shopping in one go.

Next to each ingredient is its quantity (grams, pieces, bunches, packs). You can also see which meal an ingredient is used in and click through to that recipe, so you never wonder "what was I buying this for?" in the shop. You can open the list on your phone and tick off what you have bought.

The list is linked to your programme: when you swap a meal with Change Meal on the Diet Plan page, your shopping list updates by itself; the new meal's ingredients appear and the old ones disappear. When you move into a new period and your programme is renewed, your shopping list is created for the new programme too. This feature takes the most time-consuming and most neglected part of dieting, the "what do I buy?" planning, completely off your hands.

What can I change on the Diet Settings page?

You set the number of your meals and your meal times yourself; the programme is rebuilt around your daily routine.

No two days are alike: some people have breakfast at 6 am, others at 10; some want a snack, others do not; for shift workers dinner can slide to midnight. The Diet Settings page fits the programme to this reality. Here you:

  • Set the number of your meals. If you do not want a snack you can turn it off; your daily calorie target is distributed across the remaining meals and the balance of the diet is preserved.
  • Set your meal times. You move breakfast earlier or later to suit your working day, and shift dinner to a later hour.

The change is reflected in your next programme; the list is prepared according to your new meal pattern. Your Meal Reminder notifications automatically start working at the new times; you only need to define the reminder again. The meal times you gave at registration are shown on this page too, so the details you entered in the analysis are not locked; as your life changes, you change your programme. The list fits your life; you do not have to fit the list.

What can I ask for from Dietitian Support?

Anything about your list: adjustments, foods you do not eat, allergies, review of test results, training routine, special periods and progress tracking. There is a real dietitian team behind you.

On the Dietitian Support page of your profile you click "Create Support Request". In the request form you choose the subject and the page you need help with, then write a title and a description. The subject matters: according to it, your request goes directly to the relevant unit (dietitian, payment or technical team) and is answered faster. When a reply arrives, your profile shows a "You have a message from our dietitian team" notice; you read the reply on the same page and can continue the conversation. All your past requests and replies are kept there; if you already have an open request on the same subject, replying to it instead of opening a new one keeps the conversation in one place.

What you can ask the dietitian team for:

  • Removing food groups you do not eat (seafood, dairy, red meat, legumes) from your list; a vegetarian or vegan pattern.
  • Having your allergies and intolerances (gluten, lactose, nuts, etc.) applied to the programme.
  • Having the test results you entered reflected in your list (for example iron-rich meals in case of iron deficiency).
  • Protein and meal-timing adjustments according to your training routine.
  • Adjusting the programme in special situations such as breastfeeding, pregnancy or a chronic condition.
  • A review of your programme if you cannot see the progress you expected.
  • Switching to a specific diet type (intermittent fasting, Mediterranean, ketogenic, etc.).

This communication is part of your subscription; there is no extra charge.

Can I download my diet list as a PDF?

Yes. From the Download Diet Plan page you can download your whole programme as a PDF, print it and use it without an internet connection.

Open the Download Diet Plan page in your profile and click the download button. The PDF file contains your programme day by day and meal by meal, with dish names and portions. You can keep the file on your phone, download it to your computer, or print it and stick it on the fridge door; a list on paper is still one of the most effective reminders.

The PDF is like an offline backup of your profile: when travelling, where there is no internet, or even when your phone battery dies, your list is with you. Because your programme is renewed every period according to your current values, we recommend downloading the PDF again each period so that the list in your hand is always current. Changes you make with Change Meal appear in your profile instantly; to have them in the PDF, simply download the file again. The PDF download feature is available to members with an active subscription.

I exercise. Is the programme adjusted to my training?

Yes. Your physical activity level directly determines your daily calorie and protein needs, and meal timing is arranged according to your training routine.

In the analysis test and on the Form Information page you mark whether you exercise and how often. This information determines the activity share added on top of your basal metabolism; for someone who trains regularly, the daily calorie target and protein amount are set noticeably higher than for an inactive person of the same height and weight. The aim is to lose fat without losing muscle, or to gain muscle.

For finer adjustment, write your training routine from Dietitian Support: how many days a week, what kind of training (weights, running, swimming, team sport), at what times. Our team arranges your list with more protein and carbohydrate on training days and lighter meals on rest days, and sets your pre- and post-workout meals according to your times. If your goal is to build muscle, the Weight Gain / Muscle diet type is applied. If you enter your blood test values (especially iron, B12 and vitamin D), the programme is prepared even more precisely for an athlete's needs. You can read the opinions of users who train regularly, like Hannah S., on the User Reviews page.
